I am on a mission to help change the image of veganism in the UK by running a series of seminars that helps people to make the transition from eating meat eating to veganism.
The seminars answer questions like:
- Do you want to be a vegan but don’t know how?
- Are you bored of eating the same thing over and over again?
- Would you like a list of ten things to know before becoming vegan?
- Do you need a meal planner and some tasty recipes?
- Want to know how vegans get their protein?
There has been increasing need in recent years for information on how to become a vegan. One of the main questions has been around what can vegans eat? and the best way to make the transition from eating meat and fish to a plant based diet. The image of veganism in the recent past has conjured up images of anaemic-looking, tofu and lentil eating simple people. But today, thanks to a significant number of celebrity vegans and vegan super-bloggers, veganism has suddenly become far more glamorous.
This is not just a celebrity trend. The Vegan Society has reported that the number of vegans in the UK has doubled in the last nine years from 150,000 to around 300,000. In addition the market research company Mintel has reported that the non-dairy milk market dramatically increased from 36 million litres in 2011 to 92 million in 2013, making it worth over £150 million.
The seminars are proving to popular with vegan companies lining up to offer free samples to attendees. The seminars are run at a convenient central London location and details to book can be found here
